Belly Laughs is a two day comedy festival with over two dozen food & beverage vendors curated by Mama’s Night Market from CAPE and Gold House at LA Live this weekend. The festival features over 30 comedians, all of AAPI descent, with an esteemed line-up that will engage audiences of any ethnicity. This festival is the first of its kind and will hopefully be an annual thing.
Here’s how the scheduling is looking so far if you want to take the Gaysian Route for Belly Laughs:
Saturday, July 12
Dylan Adler: Mama Stage at 3:45-4:00.
Sabrina Wu: Mama Stage at 4:25-4:40.
Irene Tu: Karaoke Stage at 5:05-5:20
Sunday, July 13
Joel Kim Booster: Gold House Stage at 6:10-6:30.
Margaret Cho: Gold House Stage at 7:10-7:30.
Luckily enough, none of the performances overlap! Thank you AAPI gay deities, we see you with the blessings! Also shoutout to whoever organized the schedule (flowers where their due)!
The event will also host, in true asian tradition, karaoke, and for our raving crowds, music by Jaded including Nikki Nair, Esta, Rei Ami, Tommy Genesis, and more!
