Vincent Rodriguez III in English Dub of acclaimed Ne Zha II

“Ne Zha II” is the highest-grossing animated film in the world and the highest-grossing non-English language film ever! Released strategically during Lunar New Year in China, the film stands closely behind “Avatar,” “Avengers: Endgame,” and “Titanic,” in global box office earnings and is now coming to the United States with its English dub through A24.

Vincent Rodriguez III is cast in the English dub, alongside popular voice actors Crystal Lee (Genshin Impact, Solo Leveling, Always Brats), Aleks Le (Demon Slayer, Dandadan, Secret Level), and the living legend, Michelle Yeoh.

Ne Zha, a fun interpretation of Chinese Mythology, follows a young boy and an unlikely friendship. Also, the young boy happens to be born with a demon orb inside of him and terrifies villagers, whose mother tries to save him from the village, while the father goes on an adventure to break the curse. Don’t want to give too many spoilers, since the movie is beautiful (it’s broken global records for a reason). You can experience this yourself since the film is streaming on Roku, Tubi, and Peacock.

Rodriguez voices said father, Li Jing, which is apt because Vincent is quite daddy himself. If you didn’t know, Vincent Rodirguez walked so Jonathan Bailey could run. Through his work in “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” as Josh Chan, Vinnie broke boundaries as an openly gay asian man, playing a heterosexual role. You can also experience Rodriguez on Prime’s “With Love,” and if you’re feeling festive, “Christmas on Cherry Lane,” and “Season’s Greetings from Cherry Lane” on Hallmark.

Ne Zha II will be in theaters on August 22nd.
